And that’s the only time you’ll ever phonetically hear “Mako” and “Great paint job” in the same sentence.

I’m an unsophisticated heathen in that I like having a no-bumper fiberglass nose with the boat tail rear and permanent headlights if possible. Thus, I am he of the Greenwoods and ‘73s-only fetish.

Its a good looking vette.
It’s no split window though.
A slushbox can be fun, too!

Agree. I would like to replicate that on any car

Is it terrible that I actually like the late c3?
Like, one of these with an LS/6-speed swap would be delicious...
And maybe some better wheels... Like these Wheel Vintiques 17" Rallys:

Late C3s I like. It is the middle bit that I am not a huge fan of.

There isn’t exactly a bad looking Vette. But we will have to disagree here

Power bulge hood is nice but not necessary to complete the C3 package

my dad’s had it for like 30 years, he’s giving it to me though since he literally never drives it. and i love the paint job too, my dad had it painted since this was a project car for him. there’s a good story about the paint job too that i should post to oppo sometime.

Something about the big bumper and flying buttresses doesn't fit all that well, stylistically. The 78-82 cars are far better looking than 74-77

I’ll get some when it comes out of hibernation...it’s tucked in a shed and covered right now, being winter here in Wisconsin and all.

My Z is in hibernation too right now, what with all the salt on the BC roads for the winter... however it’s going up for sale this summer, I’m looking for old muscle :D

Vette fans seem to rag on the C3 a lot, but I love them to bits.
It’s a shame they made so little power. Good job on the emissions laws, America.

The black one has had it’s air conditioning upgraded to take R134a, but “just needs a recharge; the tan one just says AC is “currently not functioning”.
The seats in the tan one look far more sumptuous for some reason, but the floor carpeting seems a lot more worn/discoloured.
Realistically it all depends on the condition of the floor boards and undercarriage and neither have underneath shots :P
